EMTec was a member of the joint venture Design/Build team for this five story office building and associated ten story parking garage as the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection designers.  Special design considerations included a stipulation that the main computer room that serves the entire complex and the departments had to be able to operate the building during hurricane conditions and during the aftermath of a hurricane.  Also required for the computer room was a backup source of air conditioning.

To accomplish requested building features, a design for a 900KW electrical generator was included with the ability to provide chilled water for comfort cooling of two floors during an emergency.  Backup cooling for the computer room was provided via design and installation of dedicated split system units in conjunction with the main plant chilled water system.
